JGN Long haul & Large Capacity Test-bed was architecture on the Japan Gigabit Network (JGN) for research and development and it has been resealed as an open test bed since 1st May of 2003.

TAO plans contests using the testbed and it has been recruiting participants from 2nd of June till the end of November.

As a single testbed, this is the world largest scale testbed and its maximum length is 350,000 km. Depending on the transmission band, the following four patterns are constructed.

All ATM network is PVC-UBR had its service is confirm to the ATM service (PVC) 622M, 155M.
Also, in and out port for each testbed is installed in Makuhari Gigabit Lab and Kita Kyushu Gigabit Lab, which are the direct research facilities of TAO.
