StarBED³ (StarBED Cubic) provides a experimental environment which includes theory simulation to software implementation environment by a large scale emulation foundation infrastructure.
From this environment, we aim to make an environment which is not just a testbed, but a total R&D environment which will assist activities such as experiments, data set accumulation and publication. Through this environment, we set our goal to make an innovation to network R&D process to promote making a prototype of New Generation Network.

In this system, we will make R&D activities on the following items to deepen the functions of the testbed environment. This is based on the new ICT technology R&D and education activities, such as New Generation Network and security areas.

• Network Fundamental Experimental Technologies
• Multi-Layer Total Experimental Technologies

Large scale emulation systems like StarBED³ is like no other inside Japan, and we serve as a main role in the R&D activities which uses large scale emulation fundamental technologies.
